World Poker Tour to Publish Magazine
The World Poker Tour is now planning to publish an official magazine
with the help of Future Publishing. Catering specifically to UK
poker players and those who frequent European online casinos, the
magazine will be released on a monthly basis starting some time in 2006.
In addition to detailed coverage and monitoring of the World Poker
Tour, the magazine will offer poker lessons, tips, and columns from
professional players on the tour. Readers can rest assured there
will be a large number of advertisements from online casinos and poker
rooms as well.
The CEO of World Poker Tour, Steve Lipscomb, commented that WPT has
been planning to bring more of its products and services to UK players
for some time now, which only makes sense, considering the British poker
community has been growing very fast. In addition to the magazine,
it is not exactly clear what WPT will bring to British gamblers.
Some are predicting that a series of WPT poker rooms or online casinos
could be in the making since regulation is now officially practiced in
the UK.
