Online Casino Eyes the Suns
Casino Fortune, an online casino based in Trinidad and Tobago, has
inquired about buying the Phoenix Suns.
The company, which doesn't take bets on sporting events,
sent letters last week to Suns owner Jerry Colangelo and Lehman Brothers
Holdings Inc., which the team hired to find a buyer, to express its
interest in the club, company spokesman Kevin Mercuri said.
Mercuri wouldn't say how much closely held Casino
Fortune is worth or how much it would pay for the team, which is valued
at $282 million by Forbes magazine. Colangelo has said he wants more
than $300 million for the team.
